At ISA Group, we believe that differences make us unique, nurture work teams and provide new outlooks for our business and the way we do things. Convinced of this, and knowing that our essence is what connects each other, we present to you Otras Miradas, our companies’ Diversity and Inclusion Program.
From today, we will change paradigms by learning to identify and understand all existing stereotypes and forms of discrimination, getting all the knowledge brought to us by Otras Miradas, and unlearning what we have learned, building the way we relate to each other from scratch.
The implementation of this Diversity and Inclusion Program requires the use of pedagogy in all areas of the companies, so that we all know the directions we are taking from today at the same level and are consistent with the message we give.
Diversity for us means all the differences that exist when people interact, which enriches work teams. A diverse culture is a strength to be competitive, innovator and disruptive. These three concepts are immersed in the ISA2030 Strategy and are key to fulfill the objectives defined.
For its part, inclusion has to do with managing work environments and workflows that integrate all the population, by giving them knowledge and infrastructure tools that facilitate proper equality conditions for all the employees.
Otras Miradas has seven action fronts:
Multiculturalism: We already experience it in our group. All the business-related processes are addressed under a multi-Latin approach. The challenge is to continue to guarantee inclusion conditions so that all the cultures we live in continue to integrate into the teams.
Regarding gender equality, today, 26.5% of management positions are held by women, and we reaffirm our commitment to increasing this figure. But gender equality refers not only to women’s leadership. There is also an important element that invites us to reformulate the idea of men being only providers and workers, so we welcome these new masculinities that redefine the role of men in the family.
Disability: This requires us to rethink processes, structures and individual biases, in order to provide the necessary conditions for all of us to have equal access to job opportunities and workspaces.
Peace and post-conflict: This makes us wonder: how can we contribute to building peace in the regions where we are present?
Styles of thought: This is directly related to connecting a person’s specific skills with their job, respecting individuality and benefiting from their potential, in positions that really allow them to exploit their talent and be more productive.
Many generations coexist in our companies, and every one of them has unique characteristics given their times and their experience. Getting together all the experience of many of you in your areas ensuring its proper transmission, and opening the doors to people with other insights, is the complement we seek to innovate and be disruptive.
Finally, we mention sexual diversity, Our interest is to attract the best talent, and we understand that a person’s skills, their talent and the value they add goes beyond their tastes, which is why we seek to foster work environments based on respect.
From this moment, we will see through our diversity shades and, together with our commitment, we will keep growing as a respectful, inclusive organization, aligned with sustainable work relationships.
