The Board of Directors authorized to increase ISA’s investment at ATP in USD 80 million to finance this company’s investment plan.

ATP is a company dedicated to the investment, operation and administration of passive telecommunication infrastructure in Colombia and Peru. It also has plans to expand to other countries in the Andean region. ATP business is to provide, operate and manage towers and sites required by mobile operators to install their infrastructure, as well as new technologies Small Cells and DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) Systems to satisfy connectivity demands from the mobile industry.

In February 2017, ISA reached an agreement through which it obtained an investment commitment up to USD 80 million in ATP. With this investment in ATP, ISA will increase its presence in the telecommunications infrastructure towers segment which is expected to have a substantial growth during the coming years in Colombian as well as Peru. This business initiative is the response to the continued growth of the increasing connectivity demand, particularly mobile data, observed in these countries and at a global level.

For the development of this business, ISA will partner with Digital Bridge Andean Tower Holdings, LLC (Digital Bridge), a North American Company with a wide expertise in the telecommunication infrastructure sector in the United States, Mexico and Colombia.

With this investment increase in ATP, ISA’s stake will be 24%, since Digital Bridge will make a higher contribution.

From the strategic point of view, this investment, besides being aligned with ISA group infrastructure, will diversify ISA’s business portfolio to generate more revenues as of the existing infrastructure and leverage the capacity of INTERNEXA, ISA affiliate, with unique network elements for the provision of connectivity services, a higher capacity and band width.
