This is the Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance index, in which more than 40 companies are part of this list. Eleven companies are Colombian.
This index provides investors with “an objective benchmark to manage a sustainable investments portfolio for the region.”
The alliance between S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI), the International Financial Corporation (IFC), RobecoSAM and the Stock Exchanges for the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA), published the list of the 42 companies which will be part of the DJSI MILA Pacific Alliance index, the first sustainability index in the region.

ISA is one of the Colombia companies selected by this new index which takes into account the companies with the highest sustainability performance scores from RobecoSAM in the Pacific Alliance region, including countries such as Chile, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru.

ISA’s CEO, Bernardo Vargas Gibsone, celebrated this new recognition and assured that “we are a Colombian company which is a regional reference due to our corporate governance, our transparency, and in general, for the way we approach a business management based on sustainability. All this is because we know that if we are sustainable we will survive.”

RobecoSAM is a specialist focused on sustainable investments, which among other activities, reviews Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) and identifies leading companies in sustainable practices which are published in The Sustainability Yearbook. Recently, ISA has been included in both publications, where it is recognized as one of the most sustainable companies in the world.
