In accordance with the relevant information published to the market on August 15, 2024, ISA informs that compliance with the conditions defined by the Board of Directors for the appointment of the company’s CEO has been verified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this regard, Mr. Jorge Andr\u00e9s Carrillo Cardoso was hired today, in accordance with the decision adopted by the Board of Directors, and he will begin to perform his duties as of September 2, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrillo Cardoso has extensive experience and knowledge in the energy sector, sustainable management, and public services, as well as in the formulation of public policies, regulations, projects, and programs for public and private sector entities, on issues such as water security and circular economy, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new CEO will begin a process of immersion in the company that will allow him in the coming weeks to gain an in-depth knowledge of ISA’s<\/a> business and its companies, the strategy defined by the organization to 2030, as well as the framework in which it operates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Board of Directors, on behalf of all ISA employees, thanked Mr. Gabriel Melguizo Posada for his contribution to the organization during the last eight months in which he headed the company as Interim CEO. As of September 2, 2024, Gabriel will return to his duties as ISA’s Chief Transmission Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Jorge Andr\u00e9s Carrillo Cardoso<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

He is a civil and environmental engineer with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management from Universidad de Los Andes. He has served as advisor to the Presidency of Andesco; project manager of the Water for Colombia Coalition of TNC (The Nature Conservancy); vice minister of Water and Basic Sanitation of the Ministry of Housing, City and Territory; and president of the Water and Basic Sanitation Regulatory Commission (CRA). Former advisor to the Senior Presidential Advisor for the Regions of the Presidency of the Republic; coordinator of Environment and Water Resources for USAID’s Orinoquia Master Plan; Deputy Superintendent for Water, Sewage and Waste of the Superintendence of Public Utilities; and consultant to the Business Management Directorate of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
