The project consisting in the design, procurement of supplies, construction, operation and maintenance of the 500 thousand volt Cerromatoso – Chinú – Copey transmission line will generate annual revenues to the Company for USD 14,13 million (December 2014 dollars).
ISA was awarded under the public call process opened by the Mining and Energy Planning Unit (Unidad de Planeación Minero Energética, UPME), for the construction of a high voltage line of approximately 332 kilometers, between substations Cerromatoso, Chinú and Copey, and associated works.
The project, located in the departments of Cesar, Magdalena, Bolivar, Sucre and Córdoba, should be in operation by August 31, 2018 and will generate annual revenues to ISA for USD 14,13 million (December 2014 dollars).
The entry into operation of this project will secure the demand satisfaction at this country zone, under safety and reliability criteria. It will also reduce the long-term reliance on the thermal generation of the Atlántico, Bolivar and Guajira regions.
This new work adds to other key projects carried out by ISA in Colombia and ratifies its commitment with the country’s development
