ISA was awarded under the public call process opened by the Mining and Energy Planning Unit (Unidad de Planeación Minero Energética, UPME), for the design, procurement of supplies, construction, operation and maintenance of Caracolí (Soledad) substation, 220 kV and associated transmission lines.
The project, located in the department of Atlántico, Colombia should be put into operation by November 30, 2016.
The construction of this project will improve reliability of energy transmission in the Atlántico area and prevent the risks of unattended demand.
